Nagaoka, known as “Miyu” to her teammates, was born in Fukuoka Prefecture on the western island of Kyushu. The left-handed spiker always has a smile on her face and loves playing the piano. She experienced her first Olympics in Rio de Janeiro 2016, where Japan finished fifth. Miyu loves meat, especially the deep-fried chicken her mother cooks. One of her favourite sports is baseball and her favourite Japanese baseball team is the Hiroshima Carp.
